Carl holds a PhD from Southampton and has significant experience in both solid state and fibre based ultrafast laser systems in academic and industrial posts. He developed patented intellectual property that is now at the core of all of our products. Carl is responsible for the development and production of our lasers and oversees the installation and service support team.
Luke is our R&D Engineer responsible for the Spark OPO and Spark FIR product range, including aiding in the design, development and service support. He joined Chromacity in 2017 after finishing his PhD at Heriot Watt University.
Ellen works within the production team as a product and service engineer. After completing her MSc in Photonics and Optoelectronic Devices she worked as a Laser Engineer developing and manufacturing a wide range of narrow line-width CW lasers and ultrafast lasers. Ellen performs a key role in the transfer of products from design to manufacture and is also involved in the company’s ISO9001 compliance.
David works as an Electronics Engineer on both R&D and production systems as well as service support issues. He was awarded a PhD from the Electronics and Electrical Engineering department of the University of Glasgow for his research integrating Raman spectroscopy and microfluidics. He has experience developing new electronic products and in semiconductor manufacturing and engineering.
Tanya is responsible for the marketing literature for the Chromacity product range and the social media campaigns. Her remit is to grow the company brand through the implementation of an effective marketing and social media strategy. She has worked in the industry within technical sales, technical marketing and technical writing roles. She holds a PhD in Laser Physics from the University of St Andrews.
